Trevor B. Tamlyn
Partner
Trevor has been in investing in the energy space since 2012. Trevor spent 9 years in private equity before starting Morningstar, serving most recently as a Director at Stronghold Investment Management in Dallas and previously as a Vice President at First Reserve in Houston.
Prior, Trevor was an investment banking analyst at Barclays and has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Texas.
Matthew T Silver
Partner
Matthew has 10 years of financing, land and investing experience in the energy space. Prior to founding Morningstar, Matthew most recently served on the investments team at Stronghold Investment Management, an energy private equity firm focused on various real asset investment strategies.
Prior to Stronghold, Matthew spent 5.5 years at oil and gas mineral funds focused on deploying capital across all core U.S. shale basins. Matthew has a B.S. in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
Matthew Zions
Director of Business Development & Operations
Matthew Zions has over a decade of experience in the oil and gas field, primarily dedicated to mineral and royalty rights where he has completed over 900 transactions. He has played an integral role in the deployment of ~$1.5 Billion across the Permian and SCOOP/STACK basins.
He holds a B.S. in Finance and a minor in economics from CU at Boulder.
Matthew Beardain
Director of Land
Matthew Beardain has over 10 years of legal and land experience and most recently served as VP of Title Management at Stronghold Investment Management. He has led or advised in closings of hundreds of oil and gas mineral transactions totaling >$1 billion in acquisitions and dispositions.
He hold as J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law.
Sam Hogan
Vice President of Acquisitions
Sam Hogan has over 8 years of land and real estate experience — primarily in the energy space. Most recently he served on the Acquisitions Staff at Dry Creek Energy, an independent energy firm focused on acquiring and managing oil and gas assets. Prior to Dry Creek Energy, Sam spent 2 years at Hogan Property Company as a commercial real estate agent.
He holds a B.S. in Management / Marketing from the University of Oklahoma.
